The Department of Mining and Mineral Engineering, School of Engineering, The University of Bamenda, is proud to announce that our final year BEng and MEng students are actively engaged in groundbreaking research projects focused on optimizing gold and cassiterite mining operations in Cameroon.
As part of their final year research work, students are conducting detailed studies in Garoua Boulai (East Region) and Mayo Darle (Adamawa Region), aiming to propose innovative, sustainable, and efficient mining techniques for gold and cassiterite extraction.
This initiative not only strengthens our commitment to excellence in mineral engineering education but also contributes to the sustainable development of Cameroon’s rich mining sector. We are excited to see the impactful solutions our students will develop and the positive changes they will drive in these key mining communities.
Stay tuned for updates on their progress and findings!
